The first cross-border ship financial leasing project in Northeast China was signed

On October 15, Chinese shipbuilder COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Dalian), a subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry, held a signing ceremony for the construction contract of two 49,900-dwt product tankers in Dalian with Taiping Sinopec Financial Leasing and Sinopec Fuel Oil Sales.

The project is the first cross-border ship financial leasing project in Northeast China, which not only further promotes the integration of international industry and finance, enhances the level of service to the real economy, plays a greater role in the international and domestic double cycle, but also plays an important role in promoting the comprehensive revitalization of the old industrial base in Northeast China, the new breakthrough in the implementation of comprehensive revitalization in Liaoning, and the revitalization and development of Dalian.

It is reported that the 49,900-dwt product tanker is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly MR product tanker that can sail around the world.

This 49,900-dwt product tanker is a typical green ship. Its main and auxiliary engines are equipped with SCR to meet Tier III nitrogen oxide emissions, and it is equipped with a ballast water treatment device to meet USCG and IMO D-2 certification. Also, it provides a list of hazardous substances in accordance with EU regulations and obtains the relevant preset notations for methanol. It can meet EEDI Phase III requirements and is classed by China Classification Society.

Previously, COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Dalian) has successfully built the “Yuan Jinghe” and “Yuan Yuhe” series of 49,900 DWT crude oil product tankers. The shipbuilder has accumulated technological innovation strength in the new construction field, perfect professional design and efficient project management team will ensure the timely delivery of the project with quality.
