CHINALAND SHIPPING entries into Capesize vessel operations

On October 11, the first Capesize vessel, MV. CHINAFRIE LUCK, joined CHINALAND SHIPPING’s operational fleet, marking the company’s official entry into Capesize vessel operations.

On October 16, CHINALAND SHIPPING also take delivery of another vessel of the same type, MV. CHINAFRIE HAPPINESS. These two vessels will help the company to make significant strides in their international bulk shipping business.

CHINALAND SHIPPING is actively expanding into the international bulk transportation market. Previously, the company’s fleet mainly consisted of Handy vessels. For long-term and diversified development, CHINALAND SHIPPING continues to adjust its fleet structure by introducing larger Capesize vessels.

According to the information provided, both Capesize vessels were constructed by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. They have a deadweight tonnage of 174,000 tons, are registered under the Liberian flag, and are classed by the China Classification Society (CCS). The vessels will be managed by Standard (Shanghai) Shipping Service, a subsidiary of CHINALAND SHIPPING.


The introduction of Capesize vessels will further enhance the diversification and differentiation of CHINALAND SHIPPING’s core fleet, aligning with the company’s long-term strategic development needs.
