Sinopec Shengli Oilfield welcomes the first two 5,000 hp ASD Tugs

On October 12, two 5,000 hp ASD Tugs built by Jiangxi Jiangxin Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for Sinopec Shengli Oilfield Offshore Oil Ship Center, “Shengli 266” and “Shengli 268”, set sail for delivery to Yantai Port.

This series of 5000 hp ASD Tugs has a total length of 39.5 meters, a width of 10.8 meters and a depth of 5.1 meters. Adopts a double-engine double-rudder propeller fully-rotating propulsion system and double-handle Z-type control, it has a forward drag force of 62 tons and a reverse drag force of 55 tons. The design speed is not less than 13 knots, the endurance is not less than 1100 nautical miles and it sails in the offshore navigation area.

The project includes four 5,000 hp ASD Tugs, and the other two will be delivered in late October, which is a key project for the conversion of old and new energy in the large system of LNG supply, storage and transportation along the coast of Shandong.

The ASD Tugs mainly serves Sinopec’s Longkou liquefied natural gas (LNG) project, and can perform towing, pushing, reverse towing and external firefighting operations, and is equipped with a fire pump and spray system with a lift of no less than 130 meters.
