Zhong Xing Sea-Land Engineering completed the LNG bunkering technical service project for a dual-fuel conversion vessel

Recently, Zhong Xing Sea-Land Engineering a subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industries under COSCO SHIPPING Group, has once again completed a series of technical services such as drying, inerting, pre-cooling, displacement, LNG bunkering and system purging for a dual-fuel ship converted, which has been highly recognized by ship owners and shipyards.

In order to successfully complete the LNG bunkering technical services of the dual-fuel conversion vessel “Kaimana Hila”, Zhong Xing Sea-Land Engineering cooperated with COSCO SHIPPING Shipyard (Nantong) to participate in the planning, implementation and control of the whole process of bunkering safety technology formulation, evaluation, expert review, bunkering safety planning, desktop deduction and fire drills, laying a solid safety foundation for the implementation of bunkering technical services.

The Kaimana Hila is the sister ship of the Kaimana Kai. On the basis of the successful completion of the “Matson Kaj” round bunkering technical service, Zhong Xing Sea-Land Engineering optimized and improved the “Matson Kai” bunkering technical scheme and process, and designed its own multi-functional bunkering equipment through on-site bunkering experience summary and analysis to meet the diverse and changing bunkering process. In the process of “Kaimana Hila” bunkering, a new bunkering scheme is adopted, four tankers are refueled at the same time, the refueling time is nearly 24 hours, with a refueling volume is more than 860 tons, which is nearly 10 hours less than the previous round of refueling, which greatly improves the efficiency.

Zhong Xing Sea-Land Engineering’s main business is ship thickness measurement, ship and marine engineering nondestructive testing. In the past two years, Zhong Xing Sea-Land Engineering has actively responded to the call of COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industries on the development of green and low-carbon new energy emerging industries, and has strived to develop new energy business. On the basis of the LNG membrane cabin tightness testing obtained the double approval of France’s GTT and classification society, the company extended its business expansion, obtained the license for clean energy hazardous chemicals, and developed one-stop services such as drying, inerting, pre-cooling, replacement and filling technology of clean energy fuel.
