Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding、south Korean shipowner KC Line has contracted for two 2,700 TEU containerships

On September 20, CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding signed a contract for the construction of two 2,700 TEU containerships with South Korea’s CK Line.

The 2700TEU container ship ordered by CK Line is designed by SDARI. The ship has an overall length of 188.8m, a beam of 32.2m, a depth of 17.1m, a design draught of 9.5m, about 34,900 DWT, and is classed by KR. The vessel meets the 2020 global idle sulfur emission (0.1%S) requirements, vibration and noise requirements to meet the latest specifications, in line with green standards and the latest classification society rules. With the advantages of high deadweight, low fuel consumption and good economic performance, it is able to meet the shipping needs of ship owners.
