Greece’s Latsco Marine has signed an agreement with Oshima Shipbuilding for the construction of three bulk carriers of 64,000 DWT.
Following Latsco Shipping’s first move into dry bulk in 2016, when it acquired four second-hand supramaxes, it is now further expanding its dry bulk fleet. Besides, the company also has four duel fuel LPG carriers under construction at Hyundai shipyards in South Korea.
This the first time Latsco Shipping has ordered in Japan in its 70-year history.
Oshima Shipyard is a factory that can efficiently build bulk carriers of 30,000 to 100,000tons,which is Japan’s largest shipyard by orderbook.
