Ship repair output value of Quanzhou shipyard exceeded RMB 100 million

According to Quanzhou Jiaofa Real Estate Investment Group news, Quanzhou Shipyard has celebrated its first anniversary of resuming work and production.In the last year, Quanzhou Shipyard completed the repair and delivery of 33 ships, including bulk carriers, full-circle slewing crane ships, scientific research ships, special operation ships and other ships; it has also made another breakthrough in the Xiamen-Jinmen Bridge project. So far, the output value of the ship repair business segment of Quanzhou Shipyard has exceeded RMB 100 million, becoming another major breakthrough since Quanzhou Jiaofa Real Estate Investment Group took over the Quanzhou Shipyard asset package.

On October 4, the ship “Linghang 3” berthing smoothly into the No. 1 dock of Quanzhou Shipyard to carry out a upgrading and retrofitting work. The main works include adding a new ballast water system, adding a new engine room spray system, upgrading the cab radio, adding 70 cold box power distribution systems, adding 3 generators, and maintaining the entire ship’s hatch covers, which is expected to take 20 days.

In 2023, Quanzhou Jiaofa Real Estate Investment Group introduced a joint venture, Fujian Boyang Shipbuilding Industry, in the ship repair business segment. With the support of the Quanzhou Municipal Government and relevant departments, it officially resumed work and production in September of the same year.

During the transitional production period, Quanzhou Shipyard, based on the premise of “safety, controllability and technical feasibility”, toprovide regular dock repair projects for ships, including domestic trade transportation to foreign trade transportation, hull rust removal and coating, valve disassembly and inspection, etc.

It also formulates personalized maintenance plans for special ships such as scientific research ships and special operation ships. The tonnage of ships allowed for maintenance has been increased from 20,000 tons to 70,000 tons, and the number of ships entering the factory for maintenance has increased from 9 at the end of 23 to 37 so far. Its ship repair business segment has continued to develop and has played an important role in ensuring the safe operation of ships, extending the service life of ships, promoting the development of the marine economy, and promoting industrial upgrading. The ship repair business has entered normal operation.

The output value of the ship repair business segment exceeded 100 million yuan, which is an important milestone in the development history of Quanzhou Shipyard. In the future, Quanzhou Shipyard will follow the general idea of ​​”setting plans, solving problems, attracting investment, and promoting production”, focus on tackling and fully resolving the existing problems in the full resumption of work and production in Quanzhou Shipyard, and continue to position the industry with three major functions: ship repair, shipbuilding, and marine engineering (including large steel structures).

In addition, it will focus on repairs in the short term and promote repair and construction in the long term, gradually building a domestic leading green technology-based marine equipment maintenance and support base, filling the gap in Quanzhou’s ship repair and construction intelligent marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry.
