On September 29th, Shanghai Qiyao Environmental Technology Co., Ltd, (Qiyao Environ Tec) a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanghai Qiyao Technology Group Co., Ltd, successfully completed the inspection of the first set of Intelligent Control by Exhaust Recycling (9X92DF-2.0 iCER), which will be installed on the 16,000 TEU LNG dual-fuel container ship built by Guangzhou Shipbuilding International (GSI).
It is understood that Qiyao Environ Tec overcame the challenges of installation and commissioning, and worked closely with the engine factory, completing the construction from the test bench to the successful inspection in only 9 days, and all the commissioning and inspection projects passed in one time.
The system can control the oxygen content of the scavenging air by adjusting the ratio of air and exhaust gas, which can significantly improve fuel efficiency while effectively controlling greenhouse gas emissions, thus improving the stability, economy and environmental friendliness of the main engine’s operation. And at the same time realizing the goal of meeting the Tier III emission standard in both gas mode and iCER fuel mode.
