China’s three companies sign strategic cooperation framework agreement and green methanol refueling vessel cooperation agreement

On September 25th, CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited (“CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping”), Shenzhen Port Group and China State Shipbuilding Equipmet And Materials Corporation signed a tripartite strategic cooperation framework agreement and green methanol bunkering vessel cooperation intention to establish an all-around strategic cooperative relationship.

Established in 1985, Shenzhen Port Group is the only world-class port industry group in Shenzhen.It has the world’s largest single container terminal Yantian Port and other 15 large-scale port and navigation projects at home and abroad forming a port network layout with Shenzhen Port as the core and Guangdong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Yangtze River Economic Belt, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Hainan Free Trade Harbor, and along the “Belt and Road” as the main hubs.

It undertakes more than 50% of Shenzhen’s container throughput, 1/3 of Guangdong Province’s foreign trade import and export volume and 1/4 of the country’s trade with the U.S., providing strategic support for Shenzhen to accelerate the building of a more globally influential economic center city and a modern international metropolis.

Founded in 2020, China State Shipbuilding Equipmet And Materials Corporation is a secondary member unit of CSSC, with more than 70 wholly-owned, holding or participating companies at home and abroad, spanning the two major fields of military industry and civil industry. The company has a wide range of business scope, with layouts in ship operation, energy trading, ship energy refueling, medical equipment, real estate property and other CSSC procurement services as well as industry chain extension.

Founded in 2012 and located in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China, CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping is an enterprise mainly engaged in other water transportation services. After the signing of this contract, CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping will actively integrate into the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area, deeply promote the construction of Shenzhen as an ocean center city, and promote the vigorous development of the maritime economy.
