On September 29, Chinese manufacturer Jiangxi New Jiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co.,Ltd (New Jiangzhou) announced that it had held a grand signing ceremony for two 13,800DWT of duplex stainless steel Chemical Tankers signed with Singapore-based owner OM Maritime Pte. LTD. (OM Maritime). Delivery of the first vessel is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026 with prices yet to be disclosed.
The series of 13,800DWT ocean-going duplex stainless steel Chemical Tankers signed this time is a high-performance vessel custom-made by New Jiangzhou for OM Maritime . The vessel is a stern type design with single shafting and pitch OARS, complying with highest emission standards, the vessel shall be distinguished and under the BV Classification Society.
The vessel is capable of carrying a variety of cargoes including Chemicals, Acids, Petroleum products and edible oils.
