SHGSIC delivered a 115,000 DWT crude oil tanker and Great Lakes cargo ship

On September 28th, Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (SHGSIC) under Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation(DSIC), a subsidiary of named and delivered the 115,000 DWT crude oil tanker “New Amity” built for China Merchants Energy Shipping (CMES). This is also the largest tonnage crude oil tanker built in Hebei Province.

“New Amity” is the second of five new generation green Aframax crude oil vessels that DSIC has crafted for CMES, and the first to be built at SHGSIC. The successful delivery of the ship fully demonstrates the strong trust and high degree of recognition that CMES have for DSIC, and is a testimony to the deep friendship between the two sides.

With a total length of 243 meters and a width of 44 meters, the “New Amity” adopts conventional fuel and is equipped with single engine and single propeller drive. The cargo hold area is of double hull, double bottom, single deck and longitudinal frame structure, with 12 cargo oil tanks, 2 SLOP tanks and 1 slop oil tank.

The cargo tank can hold more than 800,000 barrels of crude oil products. The main engine and generator are equipped with SCR denitrification equipment and open desulphurization scrubber equipment, which meet the latest specifications and meet the highest emission standards of nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides.

On September 26, a signing ceremony was held for the fourth 37,000 DWT Great Lake bulk carrier “POLSTEAM PILE” built for PZM in Poland.

It is understood that this Great Lake type bulk carrier meets the navigation requirements of the St. Lawrence Waterway, and can sail through the St. Lawrence Waterway in the Great Lakes region of the United States and Canada.

The bulk carrier has a total length of 199.9 meters, a width of 23.7 meters, a depth of 15.6 meters and a design draft of 10.7 meters with a design speed of 13 knots. Its actual deadweight is about 37,500 tons, reaching the same type and the same class of Great lake bulk carrier in the largest load capacity, has a good cargo suitability, economy, market competitiveness.

It is equipped with shaft generator, ariable-pitch propellers and SCR nitrogen oxide emission purification system, and EEDI meets the International Maritime Organization energy efficiency design index phase 3 standard, is a new generation of energy saving and environmental protection bulk carrier.
