SPDB Financial Leasing takes delivery of its first 7,000 CEU LNG dual-fuel PCTC

On September 27, Guangzhou Shipbuilding International (GSI), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), held a naming and delivery ceremony for the 7,000 CEU LNG dual-fuel PCTC (pure car and track carrier) “Huanghekou”. This is the first PCTC built for SPDB Financial Leasing and the fourth PCTC of the same type to be delivered by GSI in September.

Huanghekou was delivered 2 months earlier than the contract period, which once again demonstrated GSI’s absolute strength in the field of car carrier construction. It is understood that after delivery, the first voyage of the PCTC will be the Persian Gulf route to help China’s vehicle exports.

The PCTC is 199.9 meters long, 38 meters wide, with a design draft of 8.6 meters and a service speed of 19 knots. It has a total of 12 decks, including 8 fixed vehicle decks and 4 liftable decks, which can be used to transport cars, vans, trailers loaded with freight containers and trucks, etc. The top two decks can be loaded with fuel vehicles and lithium battery vehicles.

The PCTC is equipped with LNG dual-fuel system, and at the same time adopts various energy-saving measures such as energy-saving devices, drag-reducing anti-fouling paint, etc., which makes it a green, intelligent, environmentally friendly and efficient car carrier.
