On September 27th, “EVER WEB”, the 2300 TEU container ship built by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding for Evergreen Marine, was delivered 154 days ahead of the contract period.
Classed by ABS, “EVER WEB” has a length of 172.0 meters, a beam of 32.20 meters, a design draft of 9.0 meters, a deadweight of 27,900 tons with a design speed of 19.5 knots and a endurance of 11,000 nautical miles.
The 2300 TEU container ship is equipped with desulfurization equipment, a complete low-sulfur fuel supply system and an AMP shore power winch system. In addition, a series of energy-saving and environmental protection technologies such as the latest drag reduction anti-fouling paint are used to obtain the Classification Society Cybersecurity notation of CS-SYSTEM.
Evergreen Marine has a pivotal position in the global shipping market, its market share continues to rise, and it has extensive influence in the industry. The cooperation between Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding and Evergreen Marine began in 2021, and the two sides signed a total of 24 container ship orders. So far, 9 ships have been delivered and won praise from shipowners due to their good operating conditions.
Based on the recognition of the technical strength and construction quality of the shipbuilder, Evergreen Marine has given priority to Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding for the six new 2400TEU class methanol dual-fuel container ships ordered this year.
At present, Evergreen Marine has ordered more than 40 ships in China, and the shipowner believes that China’s shipbuilding technology has come from behind and can be trusted. At present, several types of feeder container ships built for ship owner in Huangpu Wenchong have formed batch construction advantages.
