CCCC Second Harbor Engineering welcomes a 5,500-ton double arm variable amplitude crane vessel

On September 26, Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery (ZPMC) held a delivery ceremony for the double arm variable amplitude crane vessel “Erhang Zhuoyue” built for the CCCC Second Harbor Engineering in ZPMC’s Qidong Marine Engineering.

“Erhang Zhuoyue” is the most technologically advanced double arm variable amplitude crane vessel with the largest lifting capacity in China. The vessel has an overall length of 165 meters, a beam of 52 meters and a design draft of 6.5 meters.

Equipped with 3 sets of 3,350 kW main generator sets, 2 sets of 2,000 kW main propellers, and 8-point mooring and positioning system, “Erhang Zhuoyue” has a lifting capacity of 5,500 tons, and is capable of navigating under a height of 47 meters.

“Erhang Zhuoyue” introduces a green and energy-saving ship-wide grid management system on the engineering operation vessel for the first time. Meanwhile, it also adopts green energy-saving technologies such as photovoltaic energy storage, high-efficiency permanent magnet motors, operational auxiliary decision-making system and operational environment sensing system.

In addition, the vessel is characterized by strong operational adaptability which can serve bridge engineering, hydraulic engineering, as well as offshore wind power.

It is understood that after the delivery of the vessel, it will be put into operation in the Su Jia Yong high-speed railroad – Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Railway Bridge project, and then will participate in the construction of the Xiamen Third East Passage project of the sea suspension bridge.
