On September 24, 2024, the 24th Session China International Industry Fair (CIIF) opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC) Shanghai. Jiangnan Shipyard, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), participated in the exhibition with many key products, and its “175,000m3 MARK III FLEX Membrane LNG Carrier” won the highest prize of the exhibition – “CIIF Award”.
Currently, CIIF has set up “CIIF Grand Prize”, “CIIF Professional Award” and “CIIF Craftsman Award”. “Among them, the CIIF Grand Prize continues to adopt the dual mechanism of “Declaration + Recommendation”, with the total number of awards not exceeding 10. After strict expert evaluation and fierce competition, the 175,000m3 MARK III FLEX Membrane LNG Carrier of Jiangnan Shipyard won the award.
It is reported that 175,000 cbm MARK III FLEX membrane LNG carrier is independently developed and designed by Jiangnan Shipyard. It meets the latest specification rules and is characterized by mainstream, reliability, energy saving and environmental protection.
As a large MARK III FLEX membrane LNG carrier in China, it is the first ship type in China to adopt energy-saving and environmental protection equipment such as shaft generator + air lubrication technology, and its comprehensive performance and economic indexes have reached the international advanced level.
This time, Jiangnan Shipbuilding made a wonderful debut at CIIF with a number of products, including 175,000 cbm MARK III FLEX membrane LNG carriers, 99,000 cbm super-large ethane ethylene carriers, 93,000 cbm super-large liquefied gas carriers, etc.
