On September 23, CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding delivered CA SAIGON, the last ship of the batch built 1,600TEU container ship, to CA SHIPPING.
This 1,600TEU container ship features low fuel consumption, high deadweight, low emission and low vibration and noise. It is an intelligent and environmental friendly feeder container ship with superior market competitiveness and will become one of the most dominant ships in Asian regional trade.
It is reported that CA SAIGON will be put into operation on the BTX route after delivery to further expand the fleet capacity. The BTX service is another time-sensitive and low-cost sea logistics channel that Asean Seas Line (ASL) has built for its customers between the Greater Bay Area and Thai-Vietnamese ports, which will further improve ASL’s service network between South China and Southeast Asian ports.
It is reported that CA SHIPPING is a joint venture between Asia Shipping and China Ship Chartering.
