On September 23, CSSC Chengxi Shipyard named and delivered the No. 34 82,600 DWT bulk carrier “XH DREAM”, which was built for CZB Financial Leasing more than three months ahead of the contract period.
“XH DREAM” is the first cooperation project between CSSC Chengxi Shipyard, CZB Financial Leasing and Xiehai Group, and it is also the first vessel of the “Blue Whale” series 82,600 DWT bulk carriers independently developed by CSSC Chengxi Shipyard.
Classed by LR, “XH DREAM” has an overall length of 229.00 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters and a depth of 20.20 meters with a design draft of 12.20 meters and a design service speed of 14.0 knots.
On the basis of guaranteeing the performance, this type of vessel exceeds the conventional 82,000 DWT bulk carrier’s deadweight by nearly 600 tons, and the cargo hold capacity is as high as 97,900 cubic meters.
The main and auxiliary engines are equipped with denitrification SCR system, which meets the ship Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) Phase III standard and the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Tier III emission requirements.
