This series of PCTCs is an example of CITIC Financial Leasing’s “strong cooperation” with GSI and COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers.

On September 20, GSI held a launching ceremony for the first 7,000 CEU dual-fuel PCTC built for BYD Hong Kong.

BYD’s 7,000 CEU dual-fuel PCTC has been upgraded. With an overall length of 199.9 meters, a beam of 38 meters, a design draft of 9 meters and a design speed of 18.5 knots, the PCTC can meet the loading requirements of fuel oil vehicles and electric vehicles.

It adopts LNG/fuel oil dual-fuel propulsion system, equipped with domestic battery system and permanent magnet shaft generator, which meets the requirements of DNV ammonia (ready) class notation.

Also, it adopts various energy-saving measures such as LNG BOG recondensation, energy-saving devices, drag-reducing anti-fouling paints, etc. It is a green, intelligent, environmentally friendly and efficient PCTC.
