Bank of China and XSI sign construction financing agreement for LNG dual-fuel tanker

On September 20, Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry (XSI) under Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group and Bank of China Xiamen Branch formally signed a construction financing agreement for a 113,600 DWT (LNG) dual-fuel oil tanker.

The vessel is a dual-fuel propelled Aframax tanker with an overall length of about 249.9 meters, a beam of 44 meters and a deadweight of about 113,600 tons.

It meets the NOx TIER III emission standard and features energy saving, environmental protection and strong adaptability, etc. It is mainly used for loading crude oil and refined oil products.

The tanker is a high-tech vessel with significant advantages especially in environmental protection and energy efficiency, which is in line with the current trend of green development in the global shipping industry.

Bank of China said that this cooperation with Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry is a concrete action for Bank of China to take advantage of its cross-border financial services, actively practice green finance, and respond to the national strategy for the development of green marine economy.
