Coastal Contracts Bhd orders two 85-meter subsea support/maintenance vessels in China

On September 18, Fujian Funing Shipbuilding Heavy Industry, a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group signed an order for two 85-meter subsea support/maintenance vessels with Coastal Contracts Bhd, a Malaysian shipowner.

The vessel has an overall length of 85 meters, a beam of 22 meters, a depth of 8 meters and a structural draft of 6.2 meters.

It will be mainly used for submarine maintenance, pipeline installation, marine cable laying and submarine resources exploration.

Classed by ABS, it meets the requirements of DPS-2, FFV1 classification notation, etc, which an efficient and economical subsea support maintenance vessel.
