Turkey’s Capramar inks for 4 product tankers with China’s Xinle Shipbuilding

In industry news, Turkish shipping company Capramar Gemi Isletmeciligi (Capramar) has ordered four 7,500 dwt product tankers from Ningbo Xinle Shipbuilding Group Co., Ltd (Xinle Shipbuilding). The news hipbuildings are expected to be delivered from the third quarter of 2025 to May 2026.

Istanbul-based Capramar is known to have a fleet of 14 vessels, including bulk carriers, multi-purpose vessels and feeder container ships. The order for product tankers from Xinle Shipbuilding marks the owner’s entry into the product tanker sector.

The official website shows that Xinle Shipbuilding is a shipbuilding enterprise with a history of more than 50 years. At present, it owns one 50,000-ton and one 30,000-ton dock; two 10,000-ton slipways; two 160-meter-long 30,000-ton outfitting wharves; one 700-ton gantry crane (under construction); two 200-ton gantry cranes; two 100-ton gantry cranes; eight 32-ton cranes; with a total area of 90,000 square meters of construction in the plant.

According to statistics, including the above four 7,500 dwt product tankers, Xinle Shipbuilding signed a total of three orders for new vessels this year. The remaining two orders, both publicized in July this year, are for chemical tankers and cement carriers.
