On September 15, Fujian Guohang Ocean Shipping held a delivery ceremony for its first 73,800DWT methanol dual-fuel ready bulk carrier “Guoyuan 703” in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, China.
The successful delivered “Guoyuan 703” was built by Jiangsu Haitong Offshore Engineering Equipment Co.,Ltd. (JSHT). The successful delivery of the vessel marks another important breakthrough in Guohang Ocean Shipping’s attempts to innovate methanol dual-fuel green ships, adding another “force” to its fleet and accelerating the green transformation process of the company.
Guohang Ocean Shipping has reserved methanol dual-fuel power system for this series of bulk carriers and acquired three class notations for methanol dual-fuel, i.e.: S, P, m.
In addition, the 73,800DWT bulk carrier also applies ship intelligence technology, which includes: ship navigation auxiliary safety system, ship energy efficiency system, Electromechanical equipment testing and analysis system and information integration platform.
It is understood that Guohang Ocean Shipping and JSHT signed the construction contract of 4+2 and 2 73,800DWT series bulk carriers in January 2023 and February 2024 respectively.
