September 13, COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers took deliverey of the second 62,000 DWT series of multi-purpose heavy lift vessel “Yuanfu” in CSSC Chengxi Shipbuilding (Yangzhou).
“Yuanfu” is the second 62,000 DWT series multi-purpose heavy lift vessel built and delivered in CSSC Chengxi Shipyard, and there will be 10 more vessels of the same type delivered from 2024 to 2025.
It is reported that the first voyage of the “Yuanfu” ship is the South America East Route, to undertake the wind power project of the Goldwind, from the domestic port loading the wind power equipment to Brazil.
Multi-purpose heavy lift vessel business is the most traditional core business of COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers. Multi-purpose heavy lift fleet is one of the core fleet of the company, and it currently has more than 60 ships.
“Yuanfu” has an overall length of 199.9 meters, a width of 32.26 meters with a full load draft of 13.5 meters. There are 5 cargo holds, the maximum length of which is about 40 meters.
Equipped with two 150-ton cranes and two 80-ton cranes, “Yuanfu” can flexibly load various sizes of heavy equipment cargo and containers, and its large deadweight tonnage and box structure design are suitable for all kinds of general dry bulk cargo transportation.
Meanwhile, it is an energy-saving and environmental friendly green vessel as its energy efficiency index meets the Phase III, NOx meets the Tier III emission requirements, and meets the latest SOx emission requirements.
