On September 11, a naming and delivery ceremony for the first 82,000 dwt new built bulk carrier of Everbright Financial Leasing was held at Jiangsu New Hantong Ship Heavy Industry (NHT).
It is the first 82,000 DWT bulk carriers chartering project between Everbright Financial Leasing and Shandong Ocean Group, was named “Shandong Xinde”.
Everbright Financial Leasing is an important subsidiary of China Everbright Bank and one of the head financial leasing companies in China.
Based on the main responsibility and main business, insisting on professional development, the company’s fleet size (including orders) has reached 67 ships, of which nearly 40 units are new shipbuilding orders from domestic shipyards.
“Shandong Xinde” is a Kamsarmax bulk carrier, complying with IMO Tier-III NOx emission standard and EEDI three phase energy efficiency standard.
This project is the first case of newly-built bulk carrier equipped with on-board carbon capture system with completely independent intellectual property rights in China, and has obtained AIP certificate from China Classification Society (CCS).
