A dual-fuel bunkering vessel starts its maiden voyage

On September 12, Jiangmen Hangtong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.Of Cccc Fourth Harbor Engineering (Jiangmen Hangtong Shipbuilding) successfully delivered a new green and low-carbon dual-fuel bunkering vessel “AMALTHEA”, which started its maiden voyage from Jiangmen, Guangdong Province to Singapore.

Classed by BV, “AMALTHEA” is 103.88 meters in length overall, 19 meters in breadth, 7.2 meters in design draft, 7999 tons in deadweight.

“AMALTHEA” is Singapore-flagged, capable of navigating in unlimited areas. It has the environmental class notations CLEAN SHIP, GREEN PASSPORT, BWT, as well as the class notation AUT-UMS, which is highly automated.

Thi bunkering vessel is equipped with a dual-fuel main engine, which can use both LNG natural gas and diesel as propulsion power. The range of the vessel is about 4,000 nautical miles in fuel mode and 1,130 nautical miles in gas mode, and the emission meets the EEDI PHASE III requirements.

In addition, the vessel is equipped with twin engines and twin propellers, which can meet the fuel supply requirements of all kinds of operating vessels in the complex coastal waters of Singapore and Southeast Asia, and is suitable for the transportation of fuel oil and other MARPOL Appendix I petroleum products.
