NJTC signs contract with GSI for four 50,000 DWT MR tankers

On September 10th, Nanjing Tanker Corportion (NJTC) successfully held the cooperation ceremony of ordering four 50,000 DWT MR tankers from Guangzhou Shipbuilding International (GSI).

Mr. Sun Dayong, Deputy General Manager of NJTC, signed the cooperation agreement with Mr. Li Tao, Deputy Chief Economist of GSI, and Mr. Zheng Minsheng, Deputy General Manager of the Shipping Business Department of China Shipbuilding Trading (CSTC).

The four MR takers built in this cooperation are the latest generation of MR vessels designed by GSI. The new shipbuildings have excellent fuel consumption indexes, meet Tier III emission standards, EEDI energy efficiency index meets Phase III requirements. It is reserved for methanol dual-fuel READY and further optimized design in terms of cargo system, oil system, hull line shape, etc. Equipped with powerful cabin monitoring system, it is a green, energy-saving and environment-friendly vessel combining economy, safety and intelligence.

GSI and NJTC have a deep historical relationship and a solid foundation for cooperation. The signing of these four MR tankers not only takes the joint development and progress of the two sides to a new level, but also strongly witnesses the continuous deepening of the strategic cooperation between the two sides.
