On September 9, Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Ship Industry Co., Ltd. (Jinglu Shipyard) successfully delivered two 1400 TEU container vessels “ELBTOWER” and “ELBBRIDGE” to Germany’s United Shipping Companies Co.
This container vessel will mainly serves in the Baltic Sea area. The hull line has been optimized in depth, which greatly reduces the wave resistance when sailing at high speed of 19kn, while taking into account economic speed and navigation resistance at various conditions.
With the same deadweight tonnage, the new vessels consume less energy and travel faster. The vessel is capable of adapting to congested waterways and inland ports, equipped with bow and stern side thrusters, efficient twisting rudders, and can pass through restricted bridges, etc. The vessel’s small scale, complex systems and compact arrangement make it a leader among feeder boxships.
It is understood that “ELBTOWER” and “ELBBRIDGE” are the eighth and ninth in this series, and also the nineteenth and twentieth successfully delivered by Jinglu Shipyard in 2024, which lays a solid foundation for further exceeding the business target of FY201024.
