CPGC delivered the first and most powerful engine with the latest iCER technology

Recently, good news came from CSSC-MES Diesel, a subsidiary of CSSC Power (Group) Corporation Ltd. (CPGC) under China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), that the world’s most powerful dual-fuel engine, 12X92DF-2.0, which adopts the latest generation of Intelligent Exhaust Gas Recirculation (iCER) technology, has been delivered successfully.

CSSC-MES Diesel has completed the lifting of large irregularly shaped parts such as iCER reactor and exhaust pipe, the commissioning of the iCER system, the precise control of large-sized high-temperature valves, and the adjustment and optimization of the main engine’s performance, etc. , ensuring the stable operation of the main engine in various modes such as oil, gas, iCER oil, iCER gas, and CSM.

It is understood that the engine will be installed on the 23,000 TEU container ship built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding for CMA CGM.

Compared with the previous 12X92DF main engine, the 2.0 version is equipped with the iCER system and water treatment system independently developed by CPGC, which controls the oxygen content of the air by adjusting the proportion of air and exhaust gas, improving the stability, economy and environmental protection of the main engine operation. It also achieves the goal of meeting Tier III emission standards in both gas mode and iCER fuel mode.
