On September 6, China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding held a naming ceremony for the 24,000 TEU container ship “Ever Aeon”, which was built for Evergreen Marine Corp.
Ever Aeon is designed and built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, with completely independent intellectual property rights. With an overall length of 399.99 meters and a beam of 61.5 meters, the ship is equipped with a hybrid Scrubber desulphurization unit and adopts the world’s latest green, energy efficient, safe and reliable design solutions.
Equipped with a number of energy-saving equipments, the fast performance and low energy consumption of the ship are fully realized, therefore, it is currently the largest ship in the world in terms of its loading capacity.
It is understood that it is the 4th 24,000 TEU container ship built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding for Evergreen Marine. Hudong-Zhonghua has already delivered three sister vessels of the same series before. Ever Aeon is scheduled to be delivered in the near future and will be a new addition to Evergreen’s ocean-going fleet.
