Consort Bunkers takes delivery of a 6,500 DWT methanol bunkering tanker

Recently, China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Nanjing) (CMJL (Nanjing)) held a naming and delivery signing ceremony for the No.1 6500 DWT methanol bunkering tanker “PEARL LEGACY”, which is the first methanol bunkering tanker project constructed by CMJL (Nanjing) for Consort Bunkers.

“PEARL LEGACY” is the first delivered methanol bunkering tanker of 6500 DWT methanol bunkering tanker under the cooperation between Shenzhen Leasing and Consort Bunkers.

This project is also the first overseas financial leasing project of methanol refueling vessel underwritten by China Export Credit Insurance.

The successful delivery of the vessel is an important practice for all parties to utilize the complementary advantages of their own resources, deepen cooperation and jointly promote the green, low-carbon and sustainable development of the international shipping industry.

The vessel is designed by Shanghai Odely Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. with an overall length of 103.88 meters. Equipped with twin engines, twin propellers and bow thrusters, the cargo tank adopts the leading technology in the industry, it can not only load general refined oil products, but also obtains the notation of Class II chemical ship, suitable for loading methyl alcohol, fatty acid methyl ester, biofuel etc.

Consort Bunkers, established in 1988 and headquartered in Singapore, specializes in ship bunkering and fuel oil refueling in Singapore and the Middle East and China, is a pioneer in the field of refueling services in Singapore.
