COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore completed all the module lifting work of SBM Offshore’s M026 FPSO

On August 28th, the M026 FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) constructed by COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore has completed all the module lifting work and entered the commissioning stage.

The FPSO has a main hull length of 335.31 meters, a beam of 328.2 meters, a width of 60 meters and a depth of 33.515 meters. And it is designed to produce 180,000 barrels of oil per day, handle 12 million standard cubic meters of natural gas, and have a maximum storage capacity of 1.4 million barrels of crude oil, which is called as “Mobile Factory on the Sea”.

The operator and general contractor of the M026 project is SBM Offshore, and this project is the first cooperation between COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore and SBM Offshore.

COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore is responsible for the design and construction of the 15 topside modules, as well as the integration and commissioning of the full vessel.

After completion, the project will be used in the sea at a depth of about 1,900 meters, and can connect 15 wells at the same time for oil and gas development operations.
