China Merchants JinLing Shipyard in YangZhou held a naming ceremony for 25000DWT duplex stainless steel chemical tanker

On September 12, China Merchants JinLing Shipyard in YangZhou held a naming ceremony for the second 25,000DTW duplex stainless steel chemical tanker built for Belgian shipowner CMB.

During the ceremony, Mrs. Buysschaert Laetitia, the godmother, named the ship “BOCHEM ROTTERDAM”.

The vessel is a single engine, single propeller, double-hulled stainless steel chemical tanker with an overall length of 158.98 meters and a beam of 27 meters, which is mainly used for the transportation of product oils, vegetable oils and IMO-II&III chemicals.The vessel is equipped with 9 pairs of duplex stainless steel cargo tanks and 1 pair of duplex stainless steel foul liquor tanks, each equipped with 1 set of hydraulic deep-well pumps, which can load 91℃, specific gravity not exceeding 1.85t/m3 cargoes, with a maximum loading rate of 3,200 m3/h and a maximum unloading rate of 1,780 m3/h.Meanwhile, it is equipped with one MAN 5S50ME-C9.7 main engine with a rated power of 4,734KW and high-efficiency propellers and flap rudders, with a design speed of 14 knots, and an EEDI that meets the requirements of Stage 3.The main engine and generator sets are equipped with SCR systems, and emissions meet IMO Tier III requirements.

The successful delivery of the vessel has boosted China Merchants JinLing Shipyard in YangZhou’s confidence and made it imperative to achieve the next sea trial and the delivery target in October.
