CMB takes delivery of two 210,000 DWT bulk carriers in August

Belgian shipowner CMB successfully took delivery of the 210,000 DWT ammonia ready bulk carrier “Mineral Danmark” on August 28th, which was delivered by China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding and China Shipbuilding Trading Co. Ltd (CSTC) as the joint seller.

It is reported that this is the second bulk carrier of the same type delivered by Beihai Shipbuilding for CMB within this month, and the high quality delivery of these two vessels has been highly recognized and affirmed by the shipowner.

So far, CMB has been successfully received seven 210,000 DWT bulk carriers from Beihai Shipbuilding. The 210,000 DWT ammonia ready bulk carrier has an overall length of 300.00 meters, a beam of 50.00 meters, a design draught of 16.10 meters, with a speed of 14.0 knots, which is able to meet the requirements of the third phase of the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) (Phase Ⅲ).

“Mineral Danmark” adopts advanced ammonia fuel reservation technology to ensure that it will be able to adapt to newer environmental requirements in future operations, reflecting Beihai Shipbuilding’s commitment to environmental protection and deep insight into future shipping trends.

In August, Beihai Shipbuilding successfully achieved the five key nodes of one ship set to build, two ship set trials and two ship deliveries through optimized resource allocation and efficient work arrangement, ensuring the smooth progress of the production plan.
