On August 28th, Lloyd’s Register (LR) and Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyard (Changhong International), formally signed the classification service contract for 4 X 115K DWT LR2 tankers and 4 X 19K TEU LNG container vessels.
These two types of vessels are newly developed by Changhong International, marking the new development of Changhong International in the field of shipbuilding.
This cooperation is a continuation of the long-term partnership between LR and Changhong International since 2014, and an important strategic support for Changhong International’s continuous upgrading and expansion in the shipbuilding sector.
With the successful signing of this contract, Changhong International’s handheld orders for vessels will reach 24 to be classed by LR, and LR has become the closest cooperation with Changhong International’s classification society.
