Tianjin Port and Waterway Engineering welcomes 1800-ton self-propelled jack-up wind power installation platform

On August 28, the 1800-ton self-propelled jack-up wind power installation platform “Ganghang Ping 5” built by Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry with CSSC Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant (WMMP) as the consortium leader was delivered to the owner, Tianjin Port and Waterway Engineering.

It is reported that “Ganghang Ping 5” is the first self-propelled jack-up wind power installation platform carrying intelligent ship system in China. The platform is suitable for unlimited navigation area navigation, coastal sea construction operations, mainly used for offshore wind power installation and foundation construction, and at the same time it has the comprehensive operational capacity for 2 sets of 20MW and above wind turbine transportation, storage and installation in one, with the maximum operational depth of more than 70 meters.

“Ganghang Ping 5” has a length of 135 meters and a beam of 50 meters, with a maximum lifting capacity of 1,800 tons, a maximum operating depth of more than 70 meters and a lifting height of 168 meters on the deck, which is the highest lifting height offshore wind power installation platform in China.

The platform is equipped with DP2 power positioning system which features unlimited navigation capability. It integrates the functions of transportation, storage and installation, and can meet the requirements of construction work for wind turbines of 26 MW and above, with the efficiency of wind turbine installation increased by about 20% compared with the previous generation of platforms. And it is also equipped with wind-solar complementary green energy system, which can provide sufficient electricity for daily life.
