On August 26th, 2024, Penglai Zhongbai Jinglu Ship Industry Co., Ltd. (Jinglu Shipyard) successfully delivered the third 3,000 TEU containership “CELSIUS EDINBURGH”, which was built for the Danish owner CELSIUS SHIPPING. This is the eighteenth ship delivered by Jinglu Shipyard this year.
With further optimization of the docking period, the ship’s docking integrity has reached a new record high among the series of ships, and the delivery time after sea trial has been shortened half of the first ship in the series. Jinglu Shipyard said that it will continue to summarize and improve the construction experience and technical process of the series of ships, and strive to ensure that the subsequent ships will reach a higher level of construction and be delivered to the shipowners with better quality.
The containership has a beam of 35.2m, a draft of 11.0m and can carry 3006 standard 20-foot containers. Classed by ABS, it is driven by a low-speed engine with a continuous power of 14,880 kW with a single engine and single propeller, at a speed of 19 knots, with a range of about 15,700 nautical miles.
It is a medium-range containership, which can be arranged in feeder operation and also used in medium-range mainline operation, and is a highly efficient and economical containership with green environmental protection.
