New Times Shipbuilding Delivers Two Tankers

On August 21st, New Times Shipbuilding held the ship signing and delivery ceremony respectively, delivering the 42#115,000 DWT oil tanker built for Norwegian shipowner Frontline and the 16#159,000 DWT crude oil tanker built for Greek shipowner TMS.

Classed by LR, the 115,000 DWT tanker has an overall length of 249.9 meters, a beam of 44 meters, a depth of 21.5 meters, a design draft of 13.6 meters, a structural draft of 15.2 meters and a deadweight of 115,000 tons.

It is reported that this is the 34th vessel delivered by New Times Shipbuilding to the owner Frontline, and at present, the owner has ordered 157500 DWT oil tanker, 160,000 TEU containerships and other vessels in the shipbuilder.

The 159,000 DWT crude oil tanker is the first in a series of four vessels ordered by Greek owner TMS. The crude oil tanker has an overall length of 274 meters, a beam of 50 meters and a capacity of about 180,000 cbm.

It is installed with a MAN B&W 6G70ME-C10.5 TIER3 with HPSCR main engine, with a main engine power (SMCR) of 13,500KW, a NCR of 11,475KW, and a 1,200Kw shaft generator, which meets the requirements of Tier3 for nitrogen oxides emissions.
