On August 22nd, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Dalian) held a delivery and christening ceremony for GREEN MUNGUBA, a 77,000 DWT multi-purpose pulp vessel built for BOCOM Leasing. It is the 9th 77,000 DWT multi-purpose pulp vessel delivered by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industries (Dalian).
“GREEN MUNGUBA” has an overall length of 225.00 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters, a depth of 21.00 meters with a design speed of 15 knots. The cargo hold of the multi-purpose pulp vessel is well sealed and dry, which can fully guarantee the quality and safety of pulp cargo transportation. In addition to transporting pulp, it can also transport high-speed trains, wind power equipment, large machinery and equipments, super-long and super-heavy steel pipe pile structures, etc. with excellent cargo hold suitability.
Meanwhile, the vessel upgraded the function of “special frame for collapsible commercial vehicles” and added “one-to-one” temperature monitoring and warning system for new energy vehicles, which can safely transport new energy vehicles while safely transporting imported pulp with high quality and help new energy vehicles to “go to sea in large quantities”.
The pollutant NOx emission of this series of vessels meets the highest requirements of international conventions (Tier III), the vibration and noise meet the requirements of the latest Rules for Green-Eco Ships of China Classification Society (CCS), while the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) of the vessels far exceeds the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Phase III.
