Recently, Zhejiang Mingfei Shipbuilding Co. (Mingfei Shipbuilding) successfully kicked off the construction of a 11,500DWT duplex stainless steel chemical tanker, which is classed by CCS.
The chemical tanker has an overall length of 129.98 meters, a beam of 22.00 meters, a depth of 11.80 meters, a design draft of 7.90 meters, and the cargo hold is made of 2205 duplex stainless steel.
In addition, the tanker has a innovative shape design, highly efficient and environmental friendly main engine, i-Ship (M,E) intelligent ship additional mark, AUT-0 unmanned cabin additional mark, and meets the requirements of EEDI phase 3, which is characterized by “green, environmental protection, intelligence and safety”.
It is reported that this is the first duplex stainless steel chemical tanker project built by Mingfei Shipbuilding.
