ZPMC secured 2+2 38,000 DWT multi-purpose heavy lift vessels

Recently, Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery (ZPMC) held a signing ceremony for 2+2 38,000 DWT multi-purpose heavy lift vessels with Chipolbrok (Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping Company), which is the first time for ZPMC to enter into the multi-purpose heavy lift vessel market.

The contracted vessels are 38,000 DWT multi-purpose heavy lift vessel equipped with three 250-ton cranes, with a combined lifting capacity of 500 tons.

Equipped with two extra-long cargo holds, the maximum length of which reaches 76.8 meters, and a full-access open deck, the vessel is particularly suitable for loading and transporting large machinery, equipment and large-scale project objects, featuring strong cargo suitability and large-scale project material transportation.

The cargo hold has a movable second deck and can be adjusted at different heights to flexibly load equipment cargoes of various sizes.The vessel is also equipped with a variety of energy-saving devices, high-voltage shore power systems, which, combined with the excellent line design, can further reduce energy consumption and emissions.

According to the official website that Chipolbrok, founded on June 15th, 1951, was the first joint venture in People’s Republic of China. Started with 4 old vessels, Chipolbrok now has developed into an ocean shipping corporation with a fleet of 31 heavy lift vessels boasting a total capacity of over 1,090,000 DWT and liners reaching all major harbors.
