On August 12, local time, the 77,000 DWT multipurpose pulp vessel “GREEN PORTOCEL” of COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers called at T32 Terminal of SANTOS Port in Brazil for the first time, and will load 72,000 DWT of pulp in the port and then return to China, which is a continuation of the record of the largest pulp loading of COSCO SHIPPING Special Carriers’ fleet.
This port call coincides with the first time that Suzano, an important pulp customer of COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers, has shipped pulp at the expanded and restarted T32 Terminal, and it is also the first time that GREEN PORTOCEL has called at the port of SANTOS for operation. Suzano held a special ceremony to welcome the captain and crew of the “GREEN PORTOCEL” with best wishes from Pier T32.
With an overall length of 225.0 meters, a breadth of 32.26 meters and a depth of 21.0 meters, a design speed of 15 knots and a range of 25,000 nautical miles, the GREEN PORTOCEL is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly green vessel. The cargo hold of the vessel is of box shaped and equipped with rotary dehumidifier, which can fully guarantee the quality and safety of pulp cargo transportation.
In addition to meeting the loading requirements of pulp customers, the vessel can also be suitable for loading high-speed trains, wind power equipment, new energy vehicles, large mechanical equipment, super-long and super-heavy steel pipe pile structures and other cargoes. In order to ensure the safety of transportation of new energy vehicles, this series of vessels has added “one-to-one” temperature monitoring and warning system.
