YL Completes a Major Conversion Project for a Platform Vessel

On August 15, Yiulian Dockyards Limited (YL) completed the major conversion project for CCCC Haifeng Wind Power Development’s Wind Power Installation Platform “Haifeng 1007”, and held a four-party ceremony to witness the completion of the project.

The major conversion project of “Haifeng 1007” platform was started on July 12, and the weight test of the whole platform was completed on August 12. YL completed and delivered the platform 10 days ahead of schedule, which is scheduled for production operation in the near future.

“Haifeng 1007” has an overall length of 135.68 meters, a width of 40 meters, a depth of 7 meters, a pile leg height of 91 meters, a working water depth of 55 meters, and is equipped with an 800-ton full slewing leg encircling crane.

It is reported that this major renovation project of the platform vessel includes a comprehensive update and upgrade of the upper construction access and living cabins, ventilation system, fire fighting and life saving equipment and anti-pollution system.

After updating and upgrading, the platform vessel is equipped with 80-person living cabins in accordance with the new standard, which improves the living environment and comfort of offshore wind power operators.

In accordance with the Technical Rules for Offshore Mobile Platforms (2023), it has obtained Rules for Classification of Mobile Offshore Units of the CCS, the Safety Certificate for Offshore Mobile Platforms and the related anti-pollution certificates.
