Recently, CCCC Haifeng Wind Power Development’s multi-purpose offshore wind power service operation vessel (SOV) “Haifeng 3001” realized the synchronous operation of laying and burying cables between wind turbines for the first time in the western Guangdong sea, and efficiently completed the construction task.
The cable laying construction time period coincided with the high typhoon season, with a short operation window and high current speed in the wind farm area, which brought great challenges to the positioning of the vessel and the launching of the trenchers.
With the advanced equipment, accurate positioning ability, strong adaptability and efficient operation ability of “Haifeng 3001”, the speed of cable laying and burial was more than 200 meters per hour, and the project team efficiently completed the cable laying and burial.
It is understood that “Haifeng 3001” has a length of 75m, a beam of 17.25m, a depth of 8m and a maximum draught of 6.6m, which can meet the needs of 60 people at the same time in the ship’s accommodation and work.
The vessel is equipped with the most advanced DP2 power positioning system, which can carry out accurate ship positioning operation in the environment of 2.5 meters of righteous wave height, with strong adaptability to working conditions.
Meanwhile, it is equipped with wave compensated trestle and 40-ton offshore folding jib crane, as well as a full set of cable laying equipment with a maximum capacity of 300 tons, professional cable repair equipment and cable repair platform, which can independently and efficiently complete the cable connection, cable repair, laying and burial operations, having the multi-functional offshore wind power operation and maintenance capability.
