CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding Delivered One Vessel, Launched Another One

Recently, the production and operation of CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding has been reporting a lot of successes. On August 14th and 15th, CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding continued to achieve one vessel delivering and one vessel launching.

On August 15, CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding delivered the 85,000 DWT bulk carrier “GOLDEN TIDE” to Golden Ocean Group Limited with the outstanding achievement of 25 days ahead of the annual plan and 138 days ahead of the contract period respectively.

It is reported that the delivered BC85K-4 is the second 85,000 DWT bulk carrier built by CSBC Tianjin for Golden Ocean Group Limited. With an overall length of 227.2 meters, a beam of 36 meters, a depth of 20.35 meters and a design draft of 11.5 meters, “GOLDEN TIDE” is designed for conventional fuel power and is suitable for unlimited navigation area.

It meets the requirements of the latest specifications and rules and various pollutant gas emission standards, and the loading capacity, fuel consumption and other performance and economic indicators have reached the leading level.

The bulk carrier took only 48 days from launching to having sea trial, 22 days earlier than the annual plan, and the docking integrity score reached 94.6 points, an improvement of 11% compared with this series of vessels.

On August 14, the 16,000 TEU container ship No. 9 built by CSSC (Tianjin) Shipbuilding for Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) was successfully launched and entered the underwater commissioning stage.

It is the first dual-fuel container ship built by CSBC Tianjin for MSC, and is also the largest tonnage dual-fuel container ship built in North China. The ship boasts the world’s largest B-type LNG tank, which can burn low-sulfur fuel oil and LNG gas fuel to meet the requirements of sulfide emission, which is a type of energy-saving and environmentally friendly green container ship.
