On August 15, Southeast Shipyard, a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding, successfully delivered the 1800TEU container ship (MW463-6).
Classed by DNV, the container ship has an overall length of 172 meters, a beam of 28.40 meters, a depth of 16.00 meters and a design draught of 8.50 meters.
It can sail unrestricted global waters and is suitable for the shipment of dry containers, refrigerated containers and certain dangerous goods containers.
It is understood that at present, Fujian Shipbuilding undertakes 12 ships such as 3700TEU container ships and 1800TEU container ships of the company, of which two 3700TEU container ships and six 1800TEU container ships have been successfully delivered.
On August 15, Southeast Shipyard, a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding, successfully kicked off the construction of the 18,500DWT tanker (MW516-5).
With an overall length of 149.8 meters, a beam of 22.8 meters, a depth of 12.7 meters and a design draught of 8.5 meters, the tanker is mainly used for transporting refined oil products, vegetable oils and bulk chemicals (Class II and Class III) with test flash point ≤60℃ to meet the requirements of the IBC specification. The tanker features shallow draft and large cabin capacity to meet the requirements of unlimited navigation area.
It adopts methanol dual-fuel reserved design concept to meet IMO Tier III emission standards, and can be modified and upgraded to run on clean energy methanol fuel in the future.
