On August 15, the eighth 63,600 DWT bulk carrier “NS SHENZHEN” built by COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) for BOCOM Leasing was signed and delivered, and sailed smoothly. This marks the successful completion of the eight 63,600 DWT bulk carriers built by BOCOM Leasing for COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan).
With a length of 199.9 meters, a breadth of 32.26 meters, a depth of 18.85 meters and a structural draught of 13.5 meters, “NS SHENZHEN” is the last one of BOCOM Leasing’s series of eight 63,600 DWT bulk carriers.
On October 16, 2021, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) and BOCOM Leasing signed a construction contract for eight 63,600 DWT bulk carriers in Shanghai, which formally started the construction cooperation journey for a series of projects.
According to statistics, up to now, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) has successfully delivered 11 63,600 DWT bulk carriers, and will continue to give full play to the advantages of series ship construction, coordinate planning and scientific deployment and continue to provide customers with high-quality ships.
