On August 13, China’s first 75-meter deep offshore wind power survey platform “Huadong Yard 308”, built by CSSC Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant (WMMP), completed its first survey in the offshore wind farm in Shandong Peninsula.
“Huadong Yard 308” is China’s first offshore jack-up comprehensive survey test platform operating in 75 meters (limit 80 meters) in water depth, integrated intelligent drilling, in-situ testing, geotechnical testing and physical investigation in one, filling the “blank” of China’s major equipment localization of the deep offshore wind power survey.
It is understood that the platform has a length of 63 meters, a width of 34.8 meters, a design draft of 3.2 meters, a triangular truss pile leg length of 100 meters, and a design operating water depth of 75 meters. Equipped with three sets of offshore drilling systems with advanced functions and different purposes, it meets the needs of exploration in different sea conditions and for different purposes, thus improving the exploration efficiency.
The platform is mainly used for the integrated operation of offshore engineering survey and carrying out related scientific research tasks, including seabed scanning, DP positioning, drilling, in-situ testing, physical exploration, geotechnical testing and other full operation processes.
The “Huadong Yard 308” platform project is the third cooperation between WMMP and Zhejiang Powerchina Huadong Engineering, which is of great significance for both parties to plough into the field of offshore wind power survey equipment.
The platform not only reaches the leading level in the industry in terms of core equipment configuration and operational efficiency such as lifting system and offshore drilling, but also fully implements the concepts of intelligence, greenness and environmental protection during the design and construction process, which is of great strategic significance for Zhejiang Powerchina Huadong Engineering to create classic products and lead the future market development.
