COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore completed a new generation jack-up wind power installation vessel

On August 15, a new generation of jack-up offshore wind power installation vessel built by COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore was completed.

This offshore equipment with four “long legs” is the first NG20000 wind power installation vessel customized by COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore for the ship owner.

This vessel is not only “tall and long”, but also “powerful”. It has a deck area of 5,600 square meters, with a payload of more than 17,600 tons, and the main crane lifting capacity of more than 2,500 tons.

It is capable of installing a variety of mainstream wind turbines, and is a new generation of jack-up offshore wind installation vessel with high technical specifications.

The height of the pile leg of this vessel is 120 meters, which can operate in 70 meters water, and can transport 7 sets of 15MW wind turbines and installation operation at the same time. In addition, it is highly automated, with 10,431 signal acquisition points, which is 4,000 points more than the vessels of the same type.

In addition to the high degree of intelligence, green environmental protection is also a major feature of the vessel. Methanol dual-fuel system is adopted in this wind power installation vessel, while battery energy storage system is added to maximize the realization of “energy saving and emission reduction”.

In addition, the vessel is equipped with a total of 820 batteries, with a total battery capacity of 5,000 kilowatts, equivalent to the capacity of a medium-to-large diesel engine, which greatly reduces fuel consumption.
