Ultra-large Dual Fuel Containership “SEABORD VOYAGER” Sets Sail for Sea Trials

On August 9th and 10th, Taizhou Sanfu Shipbuilding’s new built ultra-large dual-fuel containership “SEABORD VOYAGER” successfully sailed out of the river for a trial voyage.

It is reported that “SEABORD VOYAGER” is equipped with the world’s largest vertical LNG fuel tank. With a length of 248 meters and a beam of 35.2 meters, it can carry 3,500 standard containers at one time, which is the largest containership built in Gaogang area of Taizhou.

“SEABORD VOYAGER” is the first of the six containership of the batch built by Taizhou Sanfu Shipbuilding for the German shipowner, and was launched on March 4 this year.

Designed by HB HUNTE of Germany based on the principle of ecological and environmental protection, this containership adopts dual-fuel (LNG and MGO) power main engine, equipped with two MGO (diesel) fuel generators and one LNG (liquefied natural gas) fuel generator, which can satisfy the demand for electricity under different working conditions, and is a new generation of environmentally friendly power representative ship.
