CIMC SOE delivered a set of 4600m³ LNG liquid tanks

On August 5th, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering (CIMC SOE) successfully loaded and shipped the first set of 4,600 cbm LNG fuel tanks (Project No. T128) for NAMURA Shipbuilding (hereinafter referred to as “NAMURA”) at CIMC SOE Qidong Terminal.

This project is classed by NK Classification Society and the main contractor for the FGSS system of the tank is SUNBO, Korea. The tank is 32m long and 14m in diameter, with a total weight of the tank and saddle about 530 tons, and will be carried on board the Newcastle bulk carrier of NAMURA Shipbuilding in Japan.

This project is an open TCS platform with dimensions of 20m in length and 7.3m in width. The electrical design of the piping system of the fuel handling system is complex and the construction is difficult. Therefore, the CIMC SOE project team planned ahead and formulated solutions for the actual situation on site.

Meanwhile, with the active cooperation of the design team, CIMC SOE effectively assisted in solving the various installation problems on site and ensured that the key nodes of the project could be successfully completed as scheduled.

In the future, CIMC SOE will respond positively to the diversified customer needs in the industry, and is committed to continuously creating fine liquid tank products and accelerating the process of high-quality tank development.
